Gresham track & field hosts 2024 Dean Nice Invitational

The best athletes from the Mt. Hood Conference came together for an annual track and field meet that serves as a late-season tune-up with districts looming.

The 2024 Dean Nice Invitational was held on a dreary Friday afternoon, April 26, at Gresham High School. Alongside the host Gophers were a slew of competitors from not only across Oregon, but also Washington and Idaho.

The Gresham girls finished third in the team competition with 63.25 points. Winning the girls meet was Crescent Valley (72.75) and McDaniel finished second (63.5).

For the boys, Lakeridge won (65.2), followed by Sheldon (65) and Crescent Valley (62).

The Barlow and Sandy boys finished tied for seventh with 43 points apiece; and the Reynolds girls got 10th with 29 points.
