Sandy’s Mataio Olomua, Reynolds’ Travis Hull share first-team running back honors

A pair of talented senior running backs, whom both blended blistering speed with lower-the-shoulder strength between the tackles, were just two of the many local gridiron stars celebrated for their contributions and individual achievements on the field.

Sandy senior Mataio Olomua and Reynolds senior Travis Hull both were named to the 2024 Mt. Hood Conference football first team. In total 45 selections were made to all-league teams from the Barlow, Gresham, Reynolds and Sandy rosters.

The top awards were Central Catholic senior lineman Zac Stascuasky as the offensive player of the year; Nelson senior defensive back Noah Boria as defensive player of the year; and Reynolds’ Bo Jones as coach of the year.
