Barlow’s Brayden Barron named Mt. Hood Conference defensive player of the year

Gresham boys basketball junior wing Kareem Artharee. 

A towering, springy forward, who helped secure the top-ranking for Barlow boys basketball during a season in which a first-ever championship trophy is close at hand, earned one of the top honors for his conference.

Senior Brayden Barron was named the Mt. Hood Conference 2024-2025 defensive player of the year, celebrating his intimidating presence in the paint and ability to get out and hound opponents on the perimeter.

The conference’s player of the year was senior Isaac Carr, Central Catholic; and Nelson’s Daniel Blanks was the coach of the year.
