No. 21 Sandy softball notches signature win at Spring Break tourney

Well, Sandy softball officially tossed its hat into the ring after picking up an impressive win over Spring Break.

The Pioneers (3-2) beat Lake Oswego (4-2) 6-3 Monday morning, March 24, during the two-day Nelson Spring Break Tournament. It was a defensive showcase for Sandy — in the Lakers other three games they scored 50 runs.

The other two tournament bouts for Sandy came on Tuesday, March 25. They split the results: a 7-1 loss to No. 3 Sunset (6-0) and a 15-0 win over Corvallis (0-6).
